Privacy Policy

Fondu Night ("Fondu Night," "we," "us") is operated by JBC Software Development LLC. This policy explains what information we collect through the Fondu Night app, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information: the email address you sign up with.
- Profile information: display name, bio, structure/relationship tags, and profile photos you choose to add, including any photos you place in the private Photo Vault.
- Approximate location: a coarse (city-level, not precise GPS) location used to show you relevant matches and events nearby.
- Identity verification: when you complete verification, our verification provider confirms your identity; we store only the resulting verified/not-verified status, not the documents themselves.
- Messages and matches:conversations with people you've matched with, and records of who you've matched with, blocked, or reported.
- Subscription information: if you purchase Fondu Night+, Apple processes your payment directly — we never see or store your card details. We store only your subscription status and renewal date, provided to us by Apple.
- Device and push notification tokens:used solely to deliver notifications you've enabled.
How we use your information
- To operate core features: matching, messaging, events, and verification.
- To keep the community safe: reviewing reports, enforcing blocks, and preventing abuse.
- To process your subscription through Apple's App Store.
- To send notifications you've opted into.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Who we share information with
- Service providers who help us run the app: our database/hosting provider (Supabase) and, for payments, Apple.
- Identity verification and photo-safety providers, solely to confirm your verification status and to screen uploaded photos for illegal content.
- Law enforcement, only when required by law or to report illegal content we're legally obligated to report.
We never share your private messages, photos, or verification documents with other users beyond what you explicitly choose to reveal to them (e.g. matching, granting Vault access).
Your choices and rights
- Discreet Mode:hide your profile from Discover's browse list at any time, without affecting existing matches or conversations.
- Photo privacy: optionally blur your public photos until you match with someone.
- Blocking and reporting: block or report any user directly from their profile or a conversation.
- Account deletion: delete your account at any time from Settings. Your profile is immediately anonymized and removed from Discover. The remaining anonymized data is permanently deleted 30 days later.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. After you delete your account, remaining anonymized data is permanently purged within 30 days, except where we're legally required to retain records longer (for example, to respond to an active legal request).
Age requirement
Fondu Night is intended for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use this app. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under this age.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and, where required, notify you in the app.
